how to give education:
It's easy. To support building our school in Uganda we have a chicken farm, which is intended to cover the cost, this you have probably already read on our website. If not, please click here and get informed about more details if you like.

How it works:
You can buy as many chickens as you want. The price list can be found here.
Of course you need someone who cares for your chicken(s). You can do it yourself, or you share the purchase of your chicken(s) on Facebook and look for supporters.
1. Write us an e-mail to buy your chickens.
2. Decide whether you or someone else takes over the catering.
3. send the amounts calculated to our donation account.
4. Share your purchase on facebook to look for sponsors for your chickens, if you didn't send the amount to take care of them.
5. Give your chicken or your chickens a name if you like.
We will record your name and your donation in association with the names of your chickens.
6. Please tell us all your desired information about your chickens.
7. You are indirect Farmer become and learn very soon, how are your chickens, and what we now this project exactly to the profit on the sale.
7. Indirectly you are a farmer now and very soon you will get to know how your chickens are and what we are going to do with the money after selling them. For sure it will be for the school, but maybe you want to know what exactly we are going to do in the school. Windows, Materials, Doors and so on... you will get to know!
You can also buy chickens to give to one or more of your friends, then they can be the ones taking care. Of course, you should talk about this with them first :)
Your chickens will be there 100% and what happens to it you experience, too!
We say thank you, but not from donations or purchases of chickens!
If you like the results at the end, after informing you about all the things done, you can donate again any amount you would like starting from 4 € to get a "thanksbox" with a Ugandan souvenir.You can give this to a friend who was taking care of your chickens, good idea? :)

And when?
After a total of 1,000 chickens and their "meals" have been purchased by you, we will order the chickens in Uganda. We will take good care of them for 6-8 weeks until they're sold off.
You will see how much amazing your togetherness, small donations and even 1000 chickens can be to change the world at least a bit !

How you can proceed:
1. Count the amount for chickens and "taking care money" you want to "buy" (donate). Alternatively send us an email with your purchase requests and we will count and explain for you within 24 hours.
2. Please send the amount to our donation account.
It is very important to write down the number of chickens and "feeds" in the information box for transfering money.
For Example:

or:
5 chickens with "meals", 2 without
or:
3 chickens.
3. If you want to name your chickens, so send us an email and follow the explanation next to the email box.

CHICKENS
1000 chickens cost about 530 Euro.
One chicken costs exactly 1650 Uganda Shilling. (Depending on the exchange rate: 50-60 ct.)
In order to bring them to our chicken farm, we borrow a car and pay about 30 - 35 Euro.
In the first 2 weeks we need coal. This is put in specially made Terragotta pots (defined later), so that enough heat is radiated. A bag costs 70,000 Uganda shillings -> about 24 Euro. Of this we need 10 pcs. -> 240 Euro. Again, there are about 50,000 Uganda shillings transport costs -> 17 euros.
Electricity and water costs are all together around 60 Euro.
For the lining we use the following data:
1000 chickens need 500 kg's of feeds in the first 12-14 days. This is called "Broiler Starter" and costs 1750 Uganda shillings per kilo. That is 875,000 UGX (Uganda Shilling) -> 250 Euro for 1000 chickens.
For the next 14 days the chickens need 1500 kg's. This is called "Grower" and costs 1725 UGX per kilo. -> 2,587,000 UGX -> 740 Euro.
For the last 2 weeks 1500 kg's ("finisher") are needed again and costs 1725 UGX. That makes as before 740 Euro.
FEEDS
Explanation
The beautiful thing is that we achieve from your chickens not only more profit, also our fellow members learn how to help themselves in their future by this example of being successfully independent. As well they get to know more about farming. :)
WHAT'S SPECIAL ?
With this action, we really involve each buyer and "guardian" personally .
We will wait as long as the total to hold 1000 chickens is achieved . Therefore, the specification in the "use box" for sending money is very important . The detailed results can be found on our homepage later . If the sum for 1,000 chickens has been reached , we will let you know on this page, too. As well the further procedure for this "project" . If you want, you can tell us your ideas for new fund raising projects.
We hope the school can be completed very soon.
Come on people, 1 chicken costs 88 ct . Feeding and taking care of them costs 1.73 Euro .
All in all that is EUR 2.61 for 1 chicken up to the time they're sold off. On the market we can sell the chicken(s) at the end for 12 - 14,000 UGX - > € 3.50 - 4,00 €.
1000 sold chickens makes us gain min. € 3,500. And this just with donated € 2,610.
